Fr. Augustine Herbers, SVD
Memorial Library

Fr. Herbers was the founder of the school which was originally called Divine Word Academy of Urdaneta.  As a lasting show of gratitude for his dedication to the school and to its alumni,  the alumni from the Philippines and overseas have thought about establishing a library that will carry his name.  The DWCUAA-Philippines under the leadership of Adelaida Serafica-Deogracias, Class 1970 have made plans in building a two story structure in which the library will occupy the upper floor.  Please feel free to express your thoughts about this project.  Please email Johnny Soriano at johnny0825sori@yahoo.com or Rey de Vera at reybdv@yahoo.com or John Michael Pablo who works at the school's Finance office at jmike_090474@yahoo.com.

The Fr. Augustine Herbers Memorial Library is an ongoing project spearheaded by Johnny Soriano, class 1972 to raise funds for the construction of the library in the grounds of the school.

Alumni and friends have donated books and materials to current library to replace obsolete and worn books and magazines. The books and other reading materials sent by the DWCUAA through the kindness and generosity of Mrs. Miguelita Hufana-Costes, former DWCU librarian have been received by the current librarian of DWCU, Mrs. Trofima M. Pangonilo.  The students are currently enjoying reading the books.  The school administration as well as the students are truly grateful.  Some other alumni have given their own donations to the school. Please keep your donations coming.  Rev. Fr. Randolph Botial and his staff have sent a letter to express their utmost gratitude to the DWCU Alumni Association in the USA and other overseas locations for their contribution in donating books to the library.  Please see the following Thank You note.

Thank you from Fr. Randolph Botial
